A crate can become a spare room for your pet
A crate is not only a very useful and safe way to transport your pet, but it can also be used as a spare room for your pet. After all, everyone needs a place that they can run away and be alone in, even your animal. A crate can give them a place to run and hide if your kids or even the neighbourhoods kids get to be too much for him to deal with.
A crate should be constructed of thick wood or durable plastic. There should be no way for your animal to be able to break through the sides or the door of the cage. After all, sometimes even the biggest of dogs can be frightened and the last thing that anyone needs is a big, scared dog running around, on the loose. When they get scared sometimes, not even their owner can control them.
A crate doesn’t always need to be pretty, just comfortable. If you throw in an old blanket and their favourite toy, chances are they won’t have a problem using it as a bedroom. I suggest that you get your pets accustomed to using it when they become scared. That way, it will make it easier for you to take them to the vet. After all, you say vet, they get scared and hide in their cage, you close the door behind him and off you go. No hassle, no fuss. And who would argue with that? I mean other than your pet?
