Dog illness can be scary but there are things you can do to help

There are many forms of dog illness. For some there are things you can actually do to prevent your dog from ever having. Dog illness can be very scary for both owner and dog. But it can be even more heart wrenching if it could have been prevented with care and knowledge.

The best place to start is with your vet. He knows more about dog illness than anyone does. Make sure that you keep your dog’s shots up to date. And be sure to have a regular vet and vet check ups. That is the best way to help guarantee your pets health and happiness. He may not be happy when he is there, but he will be happy to be healthy.

Another thing that can help prevent dog illness is a good diet and exercise. Ask your vet for the best dog food to feed your dog and see if he is in need of any supplements. Keep your dog active, by taking him for long walks or just by playing fetch. A few minutes a day could add years to your dog’s life and yours. Take care of your dog and he will take care of you.
