A dog tracking collar is a great idea for your escape artist dog
If your dog has a tendency to escape, having a dog tracking collar maybe the best thing to easy your worried mind. The dog tracking collar will let you know where your dog has run off too. And anything that stops you from having to yell his name out into the neighbourhood at 3 AM is probably a wise investment. No dog that I know will come running when his master sounds annoyed, especially if he worked hard at escaping.
Most dog tracking collars are good for several meters. Check to see how strong the signal is from the collar. If you aren’t sure about how far the signal will reach in your neighbourhood, then send one of your kids out running with the dog tracking collar. Test it, to see if there is anything that will interfere with the signal before you put it on your dog.
Some hunters could really use a dog tracking collar, as well. It makes it easier on you, when your dog takes off through the bush, to follow him. So instead of having a rough idea as to where your prey is, (not to mention your dog) you will have a beacon to follow. No matter what your dog does, if he is an escape artist or a hunter’s best friend, having something that will help you find him quickly and easily is a good investment.
