Dealing with dog behavior problems
Dog behavior problems are the most frustrating issue in ownership. This is the reason there are so many dogs at the SPCA and other animal adoption centers. These dog behavior problems can be avoided if owners become familiar of different techniques they can use and different avenues they can go if their dog is acting up. Here are some tips on taking control of your k-9.
Dog behavior problems start with how you treat your dog and what you let them get away with. You have to be stern without being abusive. Dogs need to be taught consequence. The Pavlovian way of learning has worked out to be the most successful. When your dog is being good, let them know by giving them a pet or even a doggy treat. Be strict with your k-9 when they are acting up.
You can cope with dog behavior problems by taking your pooch to obedience school. These schools teach your pet to obey commands. You and your dog will obtain a lot of great information that can be used to further your respect for each other. Having the knowledge on how to control your animal will change his behavior to good instead of bad. Obedience school is the best in control.
